| Neighbors for Peace was formed
a few days after the September 11th tragedy by
a group of concerned neighbors in Evanston and
the surrounding Chicago area. Our weekly meetings
are informal gatherings attended by about 15 people
on average. We are of all ages and backgrounds.
We find it important that new people attend and
gain a sense of belonging and participate in what
we do. This is one way N4P grows and gets its
messages across. We initiate various actions and
events, we endorse other actions, we manage this
website, we discuss and debate current events,
priorities, etc, and we are gradually getting
into distributing items like buttons, posters,
lawn signs, etc. to help make the peace movement
more visible. |
